Emergency Alert Message Service for Kenyon
Information Bulletin from Ron Griggs, Director of
Information Systems
When snow and other bad weather conditions require Kenyon
to close offices or even cancel classes, employees need a way to find
out. Effective immediately, a new emergency alert message service
at Kenyon gives all employees an easy way to check.
The message service can be reached by calling 427-7007, where
more than 100 simultaneous callers can listen to a recorded emergency alert
message with status information about the college. When the decision
is made to close campus offices or cancel classes, the Office of Security
and Safety will update the message immediately. Calling this new number,
you will get accurate information as soon as it is available and you won't
have to call the switchboard. As always, if you are unsure whether
you need to come to work in a particular situation, please consult with your
supervisor.
If you have any questions or comments about this new service,
feel free to contact me. If you have questions about Kenyon's employment
policies associated with the closing of the college due to a weather emergency,
please contact the Human Resources office.
